John Otzenberger, Psy.D.
Dr. John Otzenberger is a licensed clinical psychologist with almost 30 years experience. He has worked in a variety of hospital and private settings, and most recently served as the Mental Health Services Director for Louisiana State University. He has a passion for working with adolescents and young adults, including those with genetic and severe mental health disorders. He also specializes in Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (S.T.E.P.), a system that increases a parent's joy and effectiveness and develops a child's self-esteem and confidence. Dr. Otzenberger trained at the Alfred Adler Institute in Chicago under Dr. Harold Mozak, a 2nd generation Adlerian, and believes that social interest (gemeinschaftsgefuhl) is essential to mental wellbeing.
